Live PT Online (LPTO) was created to provide a more convenient, affordable, and effective healthcare service for people with low back pain. The LPTO telehealth service addresses many of the critical problems that exist in today’s healthcare system – including the high cost of care, a lack of ongoing support and guidance, and the inconvenience of office visits. LPTO empowers its members by working closely with them to develop personalized plans of care, giving them 24/7 access to all of their healthcare information, and ensuring their questions are answered in a timely fashion. To ensure safe, effective care for low back pain, LPTO was developed using widely-regarded research and evidence-based protocols. Leading research organization, publications, and healthcare experts are increasingly advocate the conservative, cost-effective approach LPTO is based upon.

Live PT Online was created by Dr. Mark Barnes and Jonathan Epstein. Dr. Barnes and Mr. Epstein previously founded Tx Xchange, a software company started in 2006 that developed a web-based care delivery platform for physical therapy clinics.

Dr. Mark Barnes, Founder and CEO of Tx Xchange, is responsible for strategy, content development and research. Mark is the owner of SOMA Physical Therapy, and has grown and operated multiple out-patient orthopedic physical therapy clinics in Boulder, Colorado since 1993. Mark also started and operated for five years, an out-patient worker’s compensation rehabilitation clinic providing care for large self-insured companies in Boulder County. Mark is an accomplished researcher, lecturer, and author in the field of orthopedic rehabilitation. Mark has a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Regis University, holds a Master's degree in Physical Therapy from Shenandoah University/Winchester Medical Center, and graduated from the University of Colorado with a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology in 1990.

Jonathan Epstein, Founder and COO, is responsible for product development, sales and marketing, and support. He has 15 years of successful sales, management, account support, and product management experience in the enterprise software and insurance markets. Jonathan has successfully led product development teams into emerging markets and developed sales and marketing plans for early-stage companies. Jonathan has an A.A. in Business Management from Empire State College.
